Elastix How To Update
Elastix 5 is based in Debian, it uses deb packages to manage the installation, upgrading and removal of software on your Debian system, including OS and Security updates.
Yum update will pull down any freepbx modules needed for Elastix This is just a spare box I am setting up to replace a production box if an emergency arises. The email appears to have come because I set my email address on the 'general settings' page of elastix under the 'check for updates' section at the bottom of this page. The email I got was – Asterisk VoIP PBX asterisk@elastix2.localdomain UPDATE NOTICE: There are 8 modules available for online upgrades phonebook 2.8.0.2 (current: 2.8.0.1) core 2.8.1.2 (current: 2.8.1.0) logfiles 2.8.0.1 (current: 2.8.0.0) conferences 2.8.0.4 (current: 2.8.0.3) framework 2.8.1.5 (current: 2.8.1.4) fwari 2.8.0.8 (current: 2.8.0.6) languages 2.8.0.3 (current: 2.8.0.2) fwfop 2.8.0.7 (current: 2.8.0.6) Will yum update update all the above modules or do I have to spell out each one separately?
